report by Darrielle Mayhead, Language Link Welfare and Development Co-ordinator, Croydon College on the one week LOUD & CLEAR project at the Warehouse Theatre and the presentation of the week's work on Friday 18 February2005: The programme presented by the students was a credit to all involved. It was obvious that the students had gained a great deal from their week of drame tuition. They approached the performance with self-assurance and confidence. They spoke their lines with clarity and expression. Keti Jatieva came to this country as an asylum seaker with limited English only a few months ago, but she managed to compose her own script and then spoke her lines from memory. This was very impressive.
